Terms of Service
These terms outline what you can expect from Ithaca IT Solutions and what we expect from you when providing services.
Scope of Services
Ithaca IT Solutions provides computer repair, troubleshooting, networking, education, and related IT services for
residential and small business clients in the Ithaca and Finger Lakes region.
We do not guarantee the recovery of all data, and clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups.
Payments & Deposits
- Drive‑out fees, hourly rates, and deposits are due at the time of service.
- PC builds and NAS builds require a deposit before parts are ordered.
- Invoices may be sent digitally through Wave.
Deposits are non‑refundable once parts are ordered, but may be applied to future services if the project is canceled before ordering.
Customer Responsibilities
- Back up important data before service whenever possible.
- Provide accurate information about device issues.
- Ensure safe access to equipment and networks.
Customers are responsible for removing any sensitive data or accounts from devices before service. Ithaca IT Solutions is not liable for any data breaches or privacy issues arising from service.
Liability
While every effort is made to protect your data and equipment, Ithaca IT Solutions is not responsible for:
- Data loss occurring before, during, or after service
- Hardware failures unrelated to the work performed
- Pre‑existing damage or issues
Used parts may be used for repairs or builds when new parts are unavailable, but will be clearly communicated and require customer approval.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Appointments may be rescheduled with reasonable notice.
- Deposits for builds are non‑refundable once parts are ordered.
We understand that plans can change, and we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests. However, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.
